What To Expect

Day 2: Saigon city & Cu Chi tunnels.

Have breakfast at hotel, then 8:00 we leave hotel for our half of day tour to visit the bustling Saigon city. Visit War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office and Ben Thanh market if time permits In the afternoon we visit the Cu Chi outdoor museum to learn about the infamous tunnel systems of the Viet Cong. Take this opportunity to get a unique understanding of the guerillas underground fighting strategies during the war. Crawl through 50 to 100 meters of the 200 km tunnel system if you dare. On the way back to Saigon visit a local rice paper workshops and take in views of the Vietnam countryside. We’ll drop you off at your hotel around 17:30. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: Saigon – Can Tho visit the fertile Mekong Delta.

Depart Saigon at 8:00 from your hotel. Head south to Cai Be. Upon arrival at around 10:30, board a boat for a journey through the Mekong’s floating markets. See how river life goes on here, watch the trading between merchant ships and local farmers. Alive and exciting! Cruise through the secluded canals and cross the Mighty Mekong to an island where we will stop to enjoy fresh seasonal fruit before boating to Vinh Long. Back on the bus for our trip to Can Tho to overnight.

Day 4: Can Tho – Chau Doc

An early start for a boat trip to Cai Rang floating market, the largest wholesale market in the Mekong Delta. It starts at 5:00am and runs until midday. Of course now this market is not crowded and busy as it was before, but still interesting experience for people who do not live in Mekong delta areas. Then we have a long distance cruise to Phong Dien & walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine. Continue by car to the village of Thot Not, northwest of Can Tho to visit Bang Lang stork sanctuary. This garden has attracted thousands of stork and other kinds of birds to make nests and live here. Lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Late afternoon we hike up 3km to the sacred Sam mountain with its panoramic view over the vast plains into Cambodia & visit temple of Lady Xu, a prosperity goddess of southern Vietnam’s folk religion. Overnight in ChauDoc.

Day 5: Chau Doc – Ha Tien

Up early for a cruise through the floating village with tons and tons of fish farmed underneath hundreds of shelters. Continue the boat cruise to Da Phuoc, a Muslim Cham village across the river on Con Tien island from Chau Doc’s center. Here, discover the village with its famous Mubarak Mosque and watch the locals go about their traditional weaving. Tra Su cajeput forest in Tinh Bien district of the southern province of AnGiang is an ideal eco-tourism site. The man-made forest is the home of 140 species of plants and 70 of birds. Continue to Ha Tien for the night. If time permits, we visit a temple dedicated to Mac Cuu, a leader of the Chinese group who settled in this region back in the 17th century. Overnight in HaTien.

Day 6: Ha Tien – Phu Quoc Island

Phu Quoc Have breakfast at hotel, then we will take the morning speed boat to Phu Quoc. Arrive in Phu Quoc at noon time, pick up at habor on arrival, and transfer you to the resort, check in & overnight in Phu Quoc.

Day 7: Phu Quoc– relax on the beach .

Day 10: Phu Quoc – Saigon – Departure.

Goodbye Vietnam Breakfast at hotel. Depending on your flight we will book the suitable domestic flight from Phu Quoc to Saigon, then you take the next flight back home. Our will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Saigon 2hrs before departure time. Your tour finishes.
