Overview
Vietnam has a long history of silk production and Hanoi is one of the best places in the country to discover the ancient handicraft for silk. This half-day tour of Van Phuc silk village which made silk from around 9th century and one of the most famous for silk village in Vietnam. Vanphuc Silk was introduced at Marseille international Fair in 1931 and in Paris 1932 and was considered sophisticated products of Indochina. Vanphuc Silk was named for a famous film as “ The white silk dress” and won the prize busan international film festival in 2006, won the prize Vietnam yellow prize in 2006…. and was Vietnam’s representative for the Oscar…. This also named for a song as ” Ao Lua Ha Dong” or “HaDong silk clothes”.
